Text her out as early as the end of March even through the winter if it’s warmer we’ve picked up ticks at O’Neal woods in just about anywhere else you can imagine and if you’re bringing dogs with you make sure they have tick collars and you look them over before you put them back in your car.

Variety of trails, easy access, great views. Always come here to run, lots of options that connect to other areas in the park. Tons of parking.

Top destination for sledding. Several hills accessible from here, with one further back that allows for more privacy to build ramps. I will try to add photos of the snow as a comparison.

We visited Kendall Hills area for sledding. It’s great fun. A big hill area covered in the correct slope is enough for elders and kids.
Worth noting that, there’s a warm up area as well. #CVNPSledding

One of the most beautiful spots in the CVNP to watch the sunrise especially in the summer & early fall months because the wildflowers just add to the beauty. In the winter it’s a great sled riding hill. Lots of parking & restrooms on site. There are great walking/running trails that are popular for a reason.
