July. Parked at road entrance across from High School sign. Walk down road to dog park entrance. Not fenced but a fantastic wide open area for pups to run and sniff and play. River was low so great wading and stick playing. No burrs or homeless. Ducks and cool river

Wow… where do I start?Positive: it’s next to a river.Negatives:When I first pulled in a woman whom appeared to be living out of her car was half naked in the parking loteach end of the park had homeless structures with homeless people present.Broken glass and homeless peoples clothing strewn about the shoreline
Parked on the street, got to the entrance and saw a confusing sign but we proceeded anyways and walked down the road which wasn’t as rough as reviews said but once we got there we saw two areas, long grassy area and a completely torn up dirt patch. Both areas my dog had fun playing in. Didn’t have any problems with burrs or sharp objects really. There were some piles of sticks and trees but we avoided those. No homeless encampments. River access but it was a bit high so he didn’t swim. Overall a worthwhile visit tho reviews almost deterred us.
Went in the Spring and had a great time. The grass was in good condition, the space is level and has wood piles at either end to “herd” dogs back toward park area. It would be nice if it were fenced and we could drive down to the park, but i am glad it is here. There was some glass on the slope walking down we had to watch out for. The 10th street park next to the School District building is a safer place but closed for some kind of work right now.
