If you’re looking for a dog park in Pelham, New York with picturesque views of the Sound and Glen Island Park, Shore Park is an excellent choice. This small yet peaceful park offers pet-friendly walking trails, serene green areas, and benches for owners to relax while their dogs explore. The park is known for its cleanliness, ample space, and a welcoming atmosphere for both dogs and their families, although access is limited to Pelham Manor residents and is enforced seasonally.
Shore Park features a small pavilion, benches, and open spaces perfect for light jogging, walking your dog, or enjoying a quiet moment by the water. While the park is not a dedicated dog run or off-leash area, leashed dogs are welcome. There are restrooms available in season, and visitors will appreciate the tranquil vibe even on busy days. Please note, park access is restricted to residents from Memorial Day through Labor Day and can be enforced at the entrance.
Cozy spot with great views, especially of nearby Glen Island Park. Even when it’s busy, there’s plenty of space to find your own quiet corner. Not a beach park, but the views make it worth visiting. Went in late September and practically had the place to myself—made for a really relaxing experience.

We were completely denied entry to Shore Park at 7 PM by a staff member, even though we were there during normal park hours. This made our visit very frustrating, and it felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Staff should not prevent families from enjoying the park without a valid reason.”

Very nice area. Great views. Not too many people and even if there are a lot of people enough space to find your own space.
