We really enjoyed our time at this campground.
Campsite 27, last one in this group of campsites. It’s a bit of a walk from the parking spots especially if you have a lot of camping equipment. Nice thing about being the last spot is you can walk into the woods and pee.
Our campsite was amazing! There are quite a few steps and you have to walk uphill to the toilet.
My requirements for camping is running water and flush toilets, we had a spigot just up the steps from our site and the bathrooms were just one stall but they flushed!
Bathrooms were never busy.
We went fishing and kayaking kids of all ages could enjoy the area!
Nice quiet campground. Rec.gov site said no water, but everything was working when I was there. Well maintained sites, but be prepared for some elevation differences with some sites to the road!
This campground was absolutely beautiful. The spots were spread out, ensuring each group has some privacy. The grounds themselves seemed to be tilled, so the ground was soft for tent campers. There were water spigots and clean bathrooms with showers nearby. The Lake Shore hiking trail was within walking distance from our campsite. Overall, Lake Vesuvius was stunning and very well kept. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone who wants a weekend away it is looking for a place to relax while they are passing through.
