So disappointing. It was once a nice park built back in the 40’s. The city really has dropped any interest in the park. Needs serious maintenance!

It was really pretty! I went once and it was right about when they open so there was nobody else. The park was peaceful and calm. Loved the flowers and wildlife (saw swans, geese, squirrels, turtles, and a blue heron!)
Maple Island is a great place to go for a picnic with your family. There’s a couple play areas, picnic areas, tables, a shelter, grills, bathroom.
Downsides, it’s unfortunately looking sad. Much of it is not kept up, the beach is no longer existent and the bathrooms are effing sketchy.
