Henninger Trailhead offers a beautiful and moderately difficult 6-mile out-and-back hiking trail with a 1,500 feet elevation gain. The trail features scenic city views, access to Eaton Canyon Waterfalls, and a steep gradient popular for both hiking and mountain biking. Parking is readily available, and the natural setting offers an excellent outdoor experience though it does not specifically cater to dog park amenities.

Great area for hiking and mountain biking. The trail is really steep, about 12 % gradient from Eaton Canyon all the way to the top of Mount Wilson.

Excellent trail!!! It’s a moderately difficult trail, 6-miles out-and-back, 1,500 feet gain. Despite the constant incline, there are many scenic views of the city that make the hike enjoyable. We were fortunate to see the DTLA skyline.
Eaton Canyon Falls trail, located next to this trailhead, is a must. The trail to the 40-foot falls is easy and beautiful.
Plenty of free parking at the Nature Center lot, including overflow parking lot and street parking.

Beautiful hike. From here, you can reach Eaton Canyon Waterfalls. Several Eaton Creek’s crossings are needed, so be ready to wet feet and shoes.
