Pretty cool local place for a family semi-hike. We entered on the side across from the high school. Went south around the path over a small bridge then over the dam and down to the end. We had to turn back and re-trace are route to get back to the car. Parts were scenic with JPL in the backdrop. Kids were able to finish. There is more to see but we didn’t explore the path that leads to the Rose Bowl. Parking was tight can fill up quickly.
I was super impressed by the clean bathroom!! There was even nice toilet paper and soap. It was great for a park bathroom!
My husband took me here and this place was really nice. They have frisbee goalees (not sure the name of it), lots of unique ground squirrels, and lizards crawling everywhere and on the trees!
The hiking path is nice and leads to a great view of JPL and a small lake (from the recent rains)!
There are nice bridges and a dam.
We had a good time reading under the trees in the shade.
Large park nestled between LA Cananda High School and Pasadena. Not so much of a hiking trail. However, there are plenty of picnic tables. There’s also a designated area for frisbee “golf.”
There’s quite a lot of wildlife roaming around. It’s quiet without too much of a crowd. Great spot to hangabouts.
Spectacularly beautiful park open from sunrise to sunset with much to see and do including barbecuing, picnicking, hiking and equestrian trails, mammal, arachnid , reptile, insect, and bird watching, disc golf, field games, flora observation and identification. Clean and stocked public restrooms.
A variety of things to do. Apparently it’s the world’s first disc golf course and that makes it a tourist destination for those that are active in that sport. I was there to watch high school cross-country so running and hiking is also easily available. The free parking was also very nice.
