Annandale Canyon Park offers a welcoming escape for dog owners looking for dog-friendly hiking in Pasadena, California. The park features a short, manageable out-and-back trail with a mix of urban and natural canyon views, making it an ideal spot for pet-friendly recreation close to home. With dogs allowed on the trail and a mild incline up to a scenic overlook, both you and your furry companion can enjoy some fresh air, gentle exercise, and a tranquil outing together.
Parking is easy with about six spaces available right at the trailhead, and the trail itself is primarily a dirt path with minimal shade, so starting early or later in the day is recommended. The park is also good for kids, making it a family-friendly choice for a quick getaway into nature. Perfect for those seeking a quiet, quick adventure with their dog, Annandale Canyon Park is a hidden gem in Pasadena for local pet owners.
A great short hike and some fresh air in the Pasadena neighborhood.
Cool little “hike”… 1/2 mi up from the parking lot with a view of the canyon.
Nice new out-and-back trail with a mix of urban and natural landscape views. The trail is a clear, dirt path with a mild incline to the overlook area up top. Started at 9am on a weekday and had the whole place to myself. Parking was easy, with 6 parking spaces available at the trailhead. There’s not much shade along the route but if you start early or late enough in the day the weather is fine. Saw a couple bunnies and heard a lot of birds. The dog really seemed to enjoy this trail as well. Overall a nice, quick, and manageable hike that I’d gladly do again.
