72-mile bicycle trail THAT YOU CAN’T EVEN RIDE YOUR BICYCLE TO! Do not even try. If you disregard this warning, and attempt to ride your bicycle to the start of it from Parkersburg, WV (three miles away), then you will die. Therefore, please have your affairs in order before deciding to find out what happens when you are unwise enough to attempt to ride along the mostly nonexistent shoulder of a curvy two-lane 55 MPH highway.Whoever the person was who decided to build the last few miles of this hypothetically (I wouldn’t know, because I have a bicycle, not a truck!) usable bicycle trail LAST – and then not even bother to do it at all! – should be forced to ride from the edge of town to the beginning of the trail… because it would only take about 30 seconds for the vile miscreant to meet their deity for judgment.DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RIDE TO THIS TRAIL, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN WHO DEPEND ON YOU TO BE ALIVE ENOUGH TO SUPPORT THEM!

Very scenic trail we rode ebikes for 12 miles out and back. Didn’t see any restrooms although it was mentioned in advertised post

The North Bend Rail Trail is great! Happy Valley Trail Head is the western terminus of the trail. It is over 70 miles long and ends outside of Clarksburg, West Virginia. One day, the trail will extend into Clarksburg. The North Bend Rail Trail is part of the proposed Parkersburg to Pittsburgh Trail (P2P Trail).
