I used to really love this place. It’s an almost perfect setting back from any traffic noise and it’s peaceful and quiet. But there’s some ol’ coot that lives in the pool hall that keeps running people and business away… So sad to see it fumbled the way it has.

Stopped here yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to see a store on the river! Met the owner and chatted for a bit. Cabin rentals are available along with boat launching. I’ll be launching from here for now on. Much safer than 301
It’s the only river accessible convenience store on the great pee dee river. Pull up to the dock to the off and replenish, rent a cabin or campsite, or just fish off the dock with a fresh drink and a snack. Camping, boating supplies and bait are sold here as well.
