Greer Dog Park – Dog-Friendly Spot in Palo Alto, California

Greer Dog Park is a small, clean, and well-maintained off-leash dog park located in Palo Alto, California. Though compact in size—often described as more of an off-leash relief area than a full-fledged park—Greer offers a secure, fenced space where dogs can run freely, socialize, and burn off energy. The park is a neighborhood favorite, especially for dog owners seeking a quick and convenient spot for their pups to exercise safely.

Dog owners appreciate the friendly community atmosphere, regular cleanliness, and events like the summer Barks and Brews gatherings. Amenities include a fenced area, a bench, waste stations with bags and trash cans, a water fountain, and recently added shaded spots for comfort on sunny days. However, there is only a single combined space (no separate area for small or large dogs), limited seating, and minimal shade. Parking is available nearby, and there is access to public restrooms.

Way too small, no where to sit , no shade

Dog park in name only. Fenced run the width of two parking spaces, and long enough for a little kid to throw a ball. I’m not even sure why it exists except maybe to say Greer Park technically has a dog park.

Maybe better called “off leash relief area with bench”.

No space for small dogs

Not really a dog “park”. It’s a good little enclosure to let the dog run off leash and blow off some steam.

One of the cleanest, separated areas, & friendliest people & pets I’ve been to in a long time! My four month puppy loved it! Only thing missing is a creak. Stayed for hours.
