Absolutely no shade. The park has long stretches of walking trails on top of small network of hillocks right by the backwaters. On hot days you have no shade – and the gravely top on the trails radiates heat. And the whole area can get breezy so not great for winters either. So pick your timing carefully. A few public art features (chevrons and the windwanes) are interesting.Big plus, you could sit there and watch the small planes land into the airport – nice past time for unplugged evenings. The chevrons, I think, are there to guide the planes into the airport, but that’s my theory.

There is an airport for small planes so you can see plans a lot here and it felt close than I thought. The trail seems large and long to walk around. it was good to walk and you can bring your dog.

This a great place in the Palo Alto bay area for a scenic walk around the bay. There are many options to vary your path on each visit and most of the trails are dog friendly! The plethora of birds created an amazing ambiance that made you want to just sit and relax. I would highly recommend bringing bug spray due to the water providing quite a bit of mosquitoes.

Can’t believe this is made up on sanitary landfill territory. Great spot for jocking, walking, and bird watching. The space is clean and well-maintained with public bathroom and free parking space. We saw many types of birds here and loving the experiences.I think it was a very good place to come alone, enjoy the experience, the art, and reflect them back to yourself.
