They have so many events and the trails are so peaceful. The Halloween trail was pretty nice tho. Although I thought there would be more jump scares so I tensed up lol. But I forgot it was for children. But Buffalo Trace is awesome for any day! Any time of the year! 1000/10

I haven’t been there in a very long time, and it has changed so much. We had a great time and will definitely stay again. Beautiful park .

Although it is a beautiful park I am sad to say they are horribly managed. We Booked a cabin for 3 nights which was super cute and extremely reasonable priced. Everything was lined up for a great family vacation. They have swimming and a petting zoo, multiple playgrounds, basketball, paddle boats, we thought everything. Until we arrived to find that they haven’t updated the website in 8yrs and not one single employee has tried to get the correct information online. Our trip was booked Monday-Thursday showing everything would open at noon on Tuesday. We arrived Monday evening a little after 4 only to find nothing absolutely nothing would be open till Thursday. The day we booked at leave. Ended up feeling more like a hostage after paying all that money driving my family and their friends an hour away to have absolutely nothing to do. Not one single employee gave any concern just a yep we know and we’d post it but the manager changes it on a whim so ehh.
We stayed packed the cars and went to the beach after checkout. Only to then be informed after I unpacked the family at the beach. I also needed to buy tickets to swim but not there back at the front gate. Then to top it off after all that my babies finally got to swim and the only thing the shack offered to drink was shelf hot two liter of soda. NO ICE!

We came here for the first time and had a blast! The paddle boats are a lot of fun and doable with just one person (if your other passengers are kids). The canoes are also great to rent but it was a windy day and it kept blowing us around lol. Prices for rental are reasonable as well. The lake is big but you can basically see the whole thing from one end to another. Which is nice if your family is on multiple boats.

There is a disc golf course but I only played on a couple holes. The kids playground is a lot of fun and has some unique features. There is a petting zoo as well, basketball and tennis / pickleball courts.

So much to do! Looking forward to going back and trying the camping!

It was my 1st time here. Camp spots were pretty close together, but other than that, it was a great trip. Small lake for fishing & kayaking, Frisbee golf course, pavwd path arouns the lake, petting zoo, etc. Dollar General and Family Dollar are almost within a rocks throw.
