Yellen Dog Park is one of the most popular dog parks in Palmdale, California, offering a dedicated space where dogs can run off-leash and play with others. The park provides separate fenced areas for large and small dogs, ensuring a fun and safe environment for dogs of all sizes. With plenty of space to roam, covered tables, benches, picnic tables, and a large parking lot, it’s a convenient spot for both visitors and local residents. Shaded areas, playgrounds, a splash pad, and amenities for kids make it a family-friendly destination.
Dog owners will find water fountains for humans and pets, poop bag dispensers, trash bins, and ample seating. Nonetheless, occasional maintenance issues and cleanliness concerns have been noted, so responsible pet ownership is encouraged. While the park is mostly dirt with some grassy patches and can get muddy, it provides a great spot for pups to burn off energy in the Antelope Valley. With local keywords like pet-friendly trails, family park amenities, and off-leash dog areas, Yellen Dog Park stands out for dog lovers in Palmdale and nearby Lancaster, CA.
Yellen park is a great place to take the little ones, oh, and kids as well. The renovation is going slow, but it’s almost completed. Lots to do for the whole family.
Nice clean park. The other dogs were friendly, but the park has no water for the dogs to drink. I liked that there is an adjacent soccer field, and really cool jungle gym n3xt to the dog park.
I like to go at night with my kids, but I think the lighting in the playground is very bad.
Nice dog park with large parking lot. There’s a big dog and small dog section both with a covered table and a few trees. There are restrooms by the parking lot, a very fun, modern playground & several exercise stations. Cool place for kids & pets.
We recently said goodbye to her 12-year-old sister, and she was depressed. Walking our block didn’t seem right, so I chose to take her to the park. It was the right choice. The park was clean and had benches and picnic tables in the dog area. Plastic bags are available for clean ups, but bring your own for just in case. Sparse shade, but trees have been planted for the future. It also has working water fountains for humans and their four-legged family members. Thank you, City of Palmdale Parks and Rec.
