Great dog walking. Desert X here in 2017
Great walk up to the Cross. We took our time up and down. It wasn’t very busy which was nice. The wild flowers were out and in bloom and a bush was also blooming and smelled very nice. We are in our 60s so the walk was moderately challenging.
Beautiful views of Palm Desert. Nice trails for walking on ridges going up mountainsides. We only stopped to walk the dog, so we didn’t make it up to the end or top. It is all hiking up elevation then you can crossover to other ridges to head back down. There a steep sides, so make sure of footing on loose gravely and sand. Take water and enjoy.
A dog friendly park that is easily accessible. Not to much to see, but there is a short trail to a lookout point and some other trails aswell.
The three story, giant coral pink “Dive-in” land art piece by Superflex was installed here for Desert X 2019. Rather eye-catching in Pepto pink, this structure also had a film projected upon in on Saturday evenings, as part of it’s original intent.
The day I visited, there was a group prepping for a photoshoot, and they brought goats… 🐐
