Today i had the worst experience there. Ive ordered many times from there before but no More. For the 1st time decided to go by myself and eat there and I dont know if its coz im Darker skin or what but the whole time the lady was looking at me like wanting me to leave the place right away. When I was done with the food and told her I wanted to pay she said if you Dining here you must tip!!! And FORCED ME TO TIP so I had to give her 5 Dollars in order for me to pay and leave i was like whats that? I just wanted to leave so had to pay her and tip her forcefully. Im not ordering or recommending this place again.
I’ve been a loyal customer of this location for a couple of years and have never had an issue with ordering — until now.
I placed a delivery order at 11:18 AM and received a receipt showing an estimated delivery time of 11:50 AM, which aligned with my scheduled break at 11:55 AM. As the delivery time approached, I noticed the order hadn’t been marked as “on the way,” and I grew concerned.
The first call I received from the store came after my break had already ended, around 12:15 PM, asking where I worked. I provided the name of my workplace and expected the food to be arriving shortly. I saw no delivery person, so I called back and was told it would be another 7 minutes — by then, it was already past 12:20 PM.
Given how late the delivery was, I called to cancel the order. The staff member urged me to wait a few more minutes, but I explained that I no longer needed the food, as my break was over and the estimated delivery time had long passed.
He then told me that there were no delivery drivers available, so he had used a third-party service — something that should have been communicated before or shortly after the order was placed. If I had known this, I would have canceled the order myself.
When I brought this up, he claimed to have called me “10 times,” which is not true — I only received two calls, and I have screenshots of my call log to prove it. When I challenged this, he mentioned my workplace (a bakery he apparently frequents) in a way that felt inappropriate and unprofessional. I reminded him that I was a paying customer, and my job has nothing to do with the service I received from his business.
After some back and forth, I asked for a refund due to the lack of communication, missed delivery time, and unprofessional behavior. He then claimed not to understand me and hung up.
This entire situation could have been handled much better with clear communication and basic courtesy. Instead, I experienced unacceptable service and a lack of accountability.
At this point, I’m not looking to continue patronizing this business.
We came here for the fried chicken, one of the best in the area. This time we tried the whole chicken instead of the wings, half in cheese snow and half in hot spicy. Personally I prefer hotter wings. We also tried the gimmalie, and it is like deep fried japchae rolled in seaweed, fantastic!
Can’t rave enough about this place!
Growing up chicken wings have always been my favorite food with buffalo wings being my go to before I discovered Korean fried chicken.
I’ve tried chicken from all of the local places and Don Chicken is by far the best! If you like heat I highly recommend the spicy soy garlic which is my go to flavor. It is hard to describe how perfectly they fry their wings – they are never soggy or too dry, consistently great every time.
A 10 piece order of wings is more than enough for one person (and I have a big appetite) – they are generous with their servings and the wings are meaty. The owners are super friendly people and create a clean welcoming environment.
Do not hesitate to give this place a try, you will not regret it! My wife loves the fries from here as well and I’ve included a picture of how large the drumsticks are if you prefer drums to wings (she chose the sweet & spicy flavor for her 5 piece order).
I will typically call to place an order for pick up, food is always fresh and ready in 10-15 minutes.
Like other Korean places they give you a disposable glove + radish to keep your hands clean and cut down the heat between bites which is a nice touch.
Thank you for being the best!! They have an awesome name too 😂
I hope I live nearby. This Korean chicken is my favorite plaice. The meat has full flavor and garlic soy sauce is so tasty.
I live 40 minutes away. I can only be here when I have appointments with my dantist nearby
I got tow orders so my colleague can enjoy them too.
I recommended it!!!
