Located in the heart of Palisades Park, New Jersey, Columbus Park is a popular community space with various amenities for families and pet owners alike. While best known for its upgraded playgrounds and shaded relaxation areas, the park’s dog-friendly atmosphere, open green spaces, and convenient benches make it a pleasant destination for local dog owners looking for a welcoming environment to spend time with their pets.
Columbus Park features two playgrounds, basketball courts, and ample shaded seating, providing an inviting spot for families and their four-legged companions. With easy walking access and numerous benches, it’s a great place for locals seeking outdoor activities or a relaxing stroll. The park’s recent renovations and abundant tree coverage make it comfortable throughout the warmer months.
It was closed for a long time, but construction is finished and it is now open.
There is a separate area for children and toddlers to play.
The area where children can play is well shaded by trees, so even if the weather is very hot, they can play as long as the wind blows. There was a bathroom, but there didn’t seem to be a place to change children’s diapers. There are several benches so there is plenty of space to sit.
It’s easy to walk to, but there’s trash everywhere and there are rides that haven’t been repaired yet. The kids really liked it.
Finally renovated. Playground great for little ones.
I love that there’s a nice playground in Palisades Park. There are two playgrounds, one for older kids and one for toddlers/younger kids. I felt safe letting my 1.5 year old play in the younger kids area. There are also basketball courts and lots of benches and picnic tables.
