Putnam County Dog Park

Putnam County Dog Park, located at Francis Youth Sports Complex, offers a welcoming off-leash environment for dogs with separate fenced areas for small and large breeds. The park is wheelchair accessible, has benches for seating, structures for dogs to climb and play on, and ample shade from surrounding live oaks. Although not heavily frequented, it’s a nice, safe space for dogs to socialize and exercise. The park is clean with trash bins available, but it currently lacks water fountains and covered shelters.

Looks like people aren’t using this park. Need to advertise more, it would be great if my dog had another dog to play with. Also needs a water element! But I go once a week in hopes to meet more pet parents
Not many people go here not sure why it is a pretty nice park for the dogs
Tucked away among the live oaks, you can find a dog park here at Francis Youth Sports Complex. The fenced in areas include two sections intended to split up large and small breeds or for solo play if your pup prefers to play alone. Around the play areas your pet will find structures to climb up, over, and around. Plenty of things to entertain a playful pup in a safe space while unleashed.
It’s a nice dog park with large dogs and small small dogs separated by a 6 ft fence on all sides. It would be nice if some kind volunteer would come out and sand down some of the agility courses.
My major malfunction is actually the humans who bring their animals out here or just come to party. We did pick up two bags of trash between the parking lot and the small dogs area. I don’t know why people throw their garbage on the ground when there is a very nice dumpster they could throw their picnic items, Etc Within 600 ft of the dog park area.
This is a nice place to bring your dog off leash. They have two sections. One for small dogs, under 40 pounds and the other section for large dogs over 40 pounds. There wasn’t anyone else there when we were there and it was on a Saturday. I am so surprised that more people don’t take advantage of this park. I almost forgot to mention, they have benches to sit on while your dogs play. I really appreciated that.
