NEW UPDATE to 5 Stars: So finally the City or someone.. has fixed the fence issue with little doggies getting out under the fence. The gate latch still pinches my fingers but I just use the other big gate for the lawnmowers and no pinching. All in All it is a great park for our fur babies and they are safe now.

Review Edit: So I did have 5 stars on the dog part. But on the New on for little dogs, my dog can fit under the fence and he ran out to the road to another dog in a car. He can fit under the fence gate. So now I can’t take him in that area the big dog area the fence goes all the way down to the ground but not the little dog area. Great city park. They have two dog parks, one for large and one for small. The small one was just build this year 2023. Great little obstacle’s for your pooch to play on. There are a few play areas for the kids, one by the pool the other across the park. 3 bathroom locations and pavilions. The city keeps the park cleaned and well maintained. I come here everyday and love it.

I don’t care for this park. It could be nice, but it seems like a lot of creeps go here. It has potential, and when im here with a big group, it’s fine, but almost every single time I’m there, I experience something weird or off-putting. They have the kids’ playground way in the back, and one time, a lady was walking all around there. The concerning part was she was walking all around the playground unsettled, but she had zero kids with her. It was only me and my 2 girls at this park. She was going in and out of the woods, and instead of parking in the parking spaces by the playground, she parked back by the road. Her actions were very suspicious and didn’t make sense. When she left, it wasn’t her car she left in, though either. It was a random white guys car that pulled up after the fact. The guy pulled up, got out, started to jog off, and then she jumped in and casually drove off. She only left and drove off when she heard me tell my kids to get back in the van, that she’s creeping me out, lol. Another time, a random old guy in a black car slowed down to almost a stop to just stare at me and my girls. Now I’m nothing pretty to look at, so that was also very suspicious. He was straight up gawking at us.

Under normal circumstances the park is great. They do have a colony of FERA l cats living there That animal control did nothing about. They don’t feed them. They don’t help them and they didn’t provide shelters. So the residents who are involved with cats have done so on their own without compensation and continue to do so. Since these cats are now not able to be adopted. Aside from that, the pull opening lay due to its age and the difficulty in getting parts was kind of sad for the community This summer. We don’t have little kids anymore. But they used to go every weekend and sometimes after school on the really hot days. So I can imagine some residents. We’re not happy. Many ended up going to the union pool instead. Six Flags is not an option. As an alternative to the pool, it’s ridiculously expensive. And in this economy, nobody can afford it anymore. When you just want a quick swim and a cool off day.

Kids love it here! A playground in the back, a playground up front. A dog park, a tennis court, you can play basketball, you can play soccer and the of course the baseball field. Don’t forget the pool in the summertime!!

Amazing new 18 hole disc golf park. I was surprised to see how much space there is over the bridge. The course is well laid out with a variety of shots.
