One of the best Historical place to visit with family. My 14 & 7 years old loved the place and This .7 mile loop trail winds through a 34-acre Oak-Tulip-Hickory forest bordering a salt marsh and beach on Cold Spring Harbor. Highly recommended to visit Sagamore Hill National Historic Site.
We took a driving tour of the north shore of Long Island and one of the main stops was Sagamore Hill. Just saw a great documentary on Teddy so we had to come here. Unfortunately the house was closed but we spent an hour walking around the house and property. Very nice setting.
House is very large but not too fancy.
