Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. It’s amazing that it’s a state park and open to the public. I can’t wait to take a tour of the house next time!
What a truly magical and beautiful wonderland! I seriously could’ve walked this area for 3 to 4 hours but the heat was SCORCHING. I loved how serene and visually stimulating this place is. It is accessible- friendly. There were benches appropriately placed throughout the property for those who have limited mobility or who need a break from walking for a bit. Also, this is a great place to consider having a picnic, a date, an engagement, or a wedding party. There were a few places I wanted to visit but time and heat were not on my side so I must return on a future date.
A huge state park with many different kinds of tree and plants. I love the green house especially 👍 (but it closes on Tuesday).
I didn’t get into the Main House but took many pictures outside. There were a few groups of people taking photos when we visited. It seems like this is a popular place for wedding pictures.
No food sold here but they’re a few picnic tables near the restrooms.
We were lucky to see the Rose Arbor’s peak bloom on our second visit. And what I like the most is it’s not crowded in weekdays and seniors get free parking 😜
This park is truly one of the best spots to relax, go hiking, have a picnic, and enjoy a peaceful photoshoot. The natural scenery is breathtaking—lush greenery, well-maintained trails, and plenty of shaded areas to sit and unwind.
There are scenic walking paths perfect for all ages, a serene atmosphere for meditation or reading, and open spaces that are ideal for family gatherings or simply spending quiet time in nature.
It’s also a great place for birdwatching, or just getting some fresh air away from the noise of the city. Highly recommended for nature lovers.
Mesmerizing how meticulously designed and cared for. Mr. Coe was fascinated with horticulture and this had once been a specialized college, reverted back into his home. The artistry in woodworks, masonry, and architecture is not to be missed! This was his childhood replication of a Tudor castle with the most beautiful stained glass pieces! Hand painted walls that are stunning. Craftmanship we will never see again.
