I had been bringing my dog to this daycare since they first opened and was one of their very first customers. Unfortunately, our once very great experience completely changed and destroyed my trust in them.A couple of months ago, my dog was attacked by another dog while in their care. I was told it was just a “small tooth mark” and that he was fine. When we picked him up, he actually had two large gashes that clearly required medical attention. Because it was after hours, we had to take him to the emergency vet, which was not only extremely stressful but also much more expensive than our regular vet. What’s worse is how the situation was handled afterward. The staff downplayed the entire incident, did not remove the aggressive dog, and never once called or followed up to see how my dog was doing.I recently learned that another dog was attacked there and, just like with us, the injury was minimized and that dog also needed stitches from an emergency vet. It’s clear there’s a serious issue with safety, transparency, and accountability at this daycare. I can no longer recommend this place to anyone who truly cares about their pet’s well-being.
Becca and crew are so wonderful with my dog and it is clear they care about him and his experience at their farm. He begins to whine with anticipation as soon as he realizes we are going to day care. He is exuberant as we arrive and they greet and treat him as if he is one of their family. He is happily exhausted at the end of the day and it’s obvious he’s had a grand time every day. Their hours and prices are more than reasonable. I would highly recommend Plummer Farms for day care and boarding – your pet will be loved and well care for by the Plummer Farm family.
Our 7 month old boxer Freya spent a week going to daycare while we camped in the area and it was the best experience for all of us. We didn’t want her cooped up on our camp site all week so instead she got to run around free playing with a group of great dogs. We got peace of mind that she was getting all the exercise and attention she needed while we spent the days at the beach (no dogs allowed 🙁 The owners were great and they took professional level photos of her. I could tell each day that they really love their work and put that love into each dog. At the end of each day she was so tired she passed right out before we made it 5 minutes down the road.
Our dog goes here Monday through Friday for daycare. He LOVES it. (He gets all excited when we ask him if he wants to go “to school”.) We’ve also taken private, one-on-one lessons Becca’s intuitive, she provides helpful suggestions and is extremely patient.
Our dog absolutely loves going to daycare!!! He is loved and well taken care of, whenever he is here! He always falls asleep in the car as soon as I pick him up.
