It’s a baseball field beside the river. Nothing for kids to play on and there is a lot of foul language graffiti under the overpass (Gould St I believe) There is a beautiful old bridge and a very nice walking path west of the baseball field.
Went to a baseball game for the kids and had a nice experience they even have a snack shack.
Becareful were you park to might get hit by a baseball nice park though to play some ball they usually have food truck to especially during tournaments
I love this park. My granny used to live around the corner from this park before it was developed. Great place to see frogs, turtles, water birds and catch fish. I love the board walk which takes you thru swamp and forest. As a bonus they have a dog park with two separated play areas. The larger one has agility equipment for an extra perk. Plus it has raised vegetable gardens and a couple fun sculptures.
Great place to play baseball. I park her to access the river trail to go fishing. There is a kayak/canoe launch near the blue bridge as well. I was parked there for about an hour and accidentally walked away from my car leaving the drivers door open. I caught a nice sized smallmouth. When I returned and saw the mistake I had made. Everything was still in my car where I left it. Hundreds of dollars worth of fishing gear and some cash. All still there. I would recommend locking your vehicle. It was just awesome to see thar nobody that had rode or walked by me on the trail got into my car.
The park is always well maintained and clean. It is a nice peaceful place to sit and eat lunch, park to take a walk on the river trail, or use the kayak launch.
