Shane Kelly Bark Park – Dog Park in Oviedo, Florida

Shane Kelly Bark Park is a popular, pet-friendly destination in Oviedo, conveniently located at 499 Waggin Trl. This community dog park is well-maintained and features lots of space for dogs to run, play, and socialize. The park stands out for its agility-focused equipment such as tires, tunnels, and obstacles—perfect for dogs that love learning new tricks or who need energetic play. While it is smaller in size, the tight-knit environment makes it a welcoming spot for regulars and first-time visitors alike.

There is no separate area for small dogs, so all sizes play together, making midday visits better for smaller or timid pups. Visitors will find stocked waste bags, trash bins, benches, and shade, though the park can get hot during midday due to limited natural cover. Fresh water is available via a hose and communal dog bowls for hydration and clean-up. While the park is generally friendly and clean, owners should supervise their pets closely, as reviews mention occasional incidents with aggressive dogs.

The park is clean and has a few items to keep the dogs occupied. There’s very little shade, so unless you go in the morning you just can’t stay there very long. I am glad that we have a dog park.

I’ve been going to this dog park for several years and have always loved how well maintained it is and all the fun things for my dog to do. Unfortunately, my dog has been attacked more than once at this park The last time we were there, she was attacked by a group of dogs all at once none of the owners were paying attention to their animals …
Unfortunately, I do not feel safe to bring my dog here

Great park. Has lots of space for doggies to roam. Great tires and tunnels for dogs to play on. The evenings tend to be much busier than mid day, so if you are worried about your dog interacting with a bunch of dogs at once, then I would recommend trying to go at mid day rather than evening. It also tends to be full of large dogs that are energetic and love to play. There is no size limit here (largest dog I’ve seen is 120 lbs but most are around 45-70lbs), so if you own a small dog that doesn’t want to play with large dogs, then I would recommend going mid day or finding somewhere else to take them. These dogs are here to play. My dog is a 13 lb Chihuahua mix, but she adores playing with dogs of all sizes, so I bring her in the evenings. She loves to jump up on the tires.

Lots of agility training or skills for your pup or dog to learn on, lots of space to run in. No toys, so bring your own that your dog likes to play with. Has benches & shade

Great secret dog park away from vehicles. Not much shade to be had. Lots of obstacles for dogs. A few benches & tables for adults. No small dog area but all dogs have been super pleasant and friendly. Has an obstacle course for dogs nearby you can sign up for. Bathrooms at the neighboring park with ball fields.
