Nice small park, unpaved trails, pretty quiet here. It’s a small park but feels bigger than it is due to the loop design of the trails. I did the outer loop at a slow pace in about 40 minutes, the inner loop was 15 minutes. The trails are a combo of mowed grass, dirt/mud, a few rocks, and plenty of leaves due to all the trees. Don’t take your nice shoes! I only saw 2 other people here waking their dogs, nice sunny mid-December day. Recommend driving in from the west due to paved roads, from the east isn’t terrible but it’s gravel.

Not sure why this is called “Backroads” as there is no signage and I don’t think it appears on Johnson County Park maps. The spot marks the trailhead of the various loops. This is a pretty quiet area with easy trails, some cool rock formations and a delightful small waterfall on the south side. If you approach from Mission road from the east it us a dirt/rock road. If you approach from Nall on the east it is fully paved.
