Avalon Park Dog Park is a popular spot for local pet owners in Orlando, Florida, offering a spacious, shaded setting for dogs to play and explore off-leash. Conveniently located at 13029 Auburn Cove Ln, this dog park features a fenced perimeter with plenty of benches, grassy areas, and a sidewalk path that loops the entire park. With its pet-friendly atmosphere, it’s an excellent place for both dogs and their humans to socialize, relax, and get some exercise on the east side of Orlando.
This well-maintained community space includes essential amenities such as water spigots for thirsty pups, poop bag stations, and nearby parking. The park does not have separate sections for small or large dogs, so owners are encouraged to be attentive, especially during busy times. Despite its absence of division by dog size, the park is frequently visited by friendly locals and is best known for its peaceful environment and plentiful shade—making it comfortable even on warmer Florida days. Whether you’re new to Orlando or a seasoned resident, Avalon Park Dog Park stands out for its accessible, pet-friendly trails and commitment to keeping Orlando’s canine companions happy and active.
Great, quiet dog park. Good enough size for bigger dogs to run around. Friendly neighbors.
On my first visit, the people and dogs were very friendly.
Unfortunately, my second visit didn’t go so well. My little dog got attacked by 2 large yellow dogs who were on their way out. I scooped up my dog and kept walking in the park. (He was fine.) But several minutes later, I turned to clean up after pooch, only to discover the horrible owner of the 2 unfriendly dogs had left BOTH GATES OPEN on her way out. My dog had escaped, but thankfully, I was able to retrieve him from the street.
Nice dog run. Friendly people, never too crowded. There are different stations for the pups. One with tennis balls & other toys, fresh water & bowls, doggie bags and trash cans… there are several benches to sit on, all thankfully in the shade. There is a sidewalk that goes around the entire perimeter, which is ideal for getting exercise while letting your dog get theirs. The rest of the area is grassed.
Small downside; It’s not huge, and there are not separate areas for large and small dogs, but I’ve never had an issue.
Overall: It’s a local community dog park that’s well kept.
Love coming here almost everyday! Of leash dog parks are the best.
Really nice, large dog park with plenty of shade and a water spigot for dogs to drink. We arrived around 2pm on a Saturday to an empty park, but plenty of dogs came and went over the next few hours. There’s a nice concrete path, lots of benches, and parking is close and plentiful. We drove about an hour there and it was well worth it! It doesn’t have a separate small dog section like a lot of parks but the owners there all kept a good eye on their dogs.
