Located in the heart of Orange City, Florida, Waggin’ Trail Dog Park is a standout destination for dog owners seeking a fun, dog-friendly space filled with amenities. This well-maintained park features multiple fenced areas for both small and large dogs, giving every pup a safe space to play off-leash. The large dog area even includes wooded trails perfect for a bit of pet-friendly hiking, while agility equipment offers an extra challenge for active pups. There’s ample seating, covered shelters, and plenty of shade, making it comfortable for pet owners to relax while keeping an eye on their furry friends.
Water stations, poop bags, and waste bins are available throughout the park, contributing to a clean environment. The gravel parking area is conveniently close, and restrooms are available for owners just outside the dog park gates. Beyond the dog park, this lovely area also features walking trails, picnic spots, and is set within a larger recreational area, perfect for those looking to make a day of it in Orange City. Be aware: some patrons have reported issues with others not following basic etiquette and rules—especially related to children in the dog area—so responsible pet ownership is encouraged for the safety of all.
This used to be my favorite dog park. People are now bringing babies and toddlers and young children into the dog park. These people allow their children to run at, slap and antagonize other people’s dogs. I called the animal control department and was told that even though it is a dog park, when children come in, people are expected to get their dogs and leave. If any dog bites, knock down or injure La a child the owner of the dog is responsible. Even if the child strikes the dog with an object, the dog and owner are responsible for any injuries resulting from the child attacking the dog. So just be aware, this dog park is NOT for dogs. When children enter the park, dog owners MUST leave the park with their dogs/s. This has happened to us three times in the last couple of months. I won’t be going back because I won’t have my dogs destroyed because other people are bad parents and think it’s fine and funny to allow their children to run up to, scream at and try hitting animals for fun.

Very easy to find park at with both a small and a large dog play area and a large dog play area is huge with paths through the woods on the order of a quarter to half mile in length. The dogs and their owners were totally chill and my dog really relaxed! Also, well I did not use the restrooms. They’re worth both amends and a woman’s room in a building right next to the dog park.

Very nice dog park. Area for smaller dogs has seating, water for dogs and obstacles, and bags to pick up after your pet. The larger dog area has water and bags as well as larger obstacles to play on along with a small trail area to walk through and explore. Public restrooms are available out front also.

My dogs love going to this park. There’s an area for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs. In the large dog area, they have a short distance trail in the woods. There are lots of benches to sit and watch your dogs play. Some agility courses too. The parking area is gravel. There’s also men and women restrooms. Wednesday mornings they open after 10am
