DO NOT BOARD DOGS ON HIXON PIKE! Not only did they traumatize my dogs the matted my precious babies hair by giving her a bath and not combing her hair. They rubbed oil on all three of their furs and made them even more greasier to hide the stench of poop. It’s basically a shed and there’s no where for them to use the bathroom. My dogs HATE each other now and they were shaking when I picked them up. THEY ARE NOW DIFFERENT DOGS and I was only gone for 5 days. They also refused to do their hair while they were there which is what we agreed on upon pick up. Staff was rude and showed zero interest in my dogs. I use the other on highway 58 is where I usually go to get their hair cut. I’ve got three Shih tzus and I pray they go back to their loving playful selves. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
Love taking my pups to furry tails. They are always very patient with my younger dog who is scared of vets and grooming. They always work me in to the schedule. Also have a great self grooming station for you to bring your pup in still have to make a schedule appointment for it
Visited the facility in Hixson for a tour and spoke with the owner. Months later, I boarded my four dogs there. Never again. I had packed each meal individually and written out everything needed to know for them. My small dog came home with multiple meals still in the bag. The bag that their things had been taken in was fabric and smelled of urine, as did their bedding. When I called to check on them, the phone wasn’t answered and no messages were returned. There was only one staff there to groom, greet customers, answer the phone, and care for boarding dogs, which is not what I was told would happen. The dogs were in the facility unattended during the day as well as overnight. I knew they would be overnight but not during the day. The experience was terrible. Would not recommend this place at all.
The Miller family is so happy that a wonderful new groomer / kennel is open in Harrison. Furry Tales was all I hoped for and more. Price, professionalism, cleanliness, caring and quality of service were excellent. The location is great for residents of Harrison and Ooltewah. I am nervous leaving my spaniels with anyone but I knew the minute I walked through the door at Furry Tales that they were professional, clean and eager to please. Most of all I could tell that they love pets. Both the owner and groomer greeted me and my pups. They were very specific explaining what would be involved in grooming and also asking what I wanted. The price can’t be beat. The owner was excellent at communicating with me on the progress and time frame of grooming so I knew exactly when I could pick up my pups . The results were beyond my expectations and my pups were clearly comfortable with their groomer (Sara) and the salon. We will be regular customers at Furry Tales. Five stars for sure!
Tried the new location in Ooltewah and had a great experience! I called for appointment and they got me in the next day. I showed a picture to the groomer of what I wanted and she copied it perfectly and evened out lop-sided ears from his previous cut at PetSmart. Their fee was NULL less than a basic cut at PetSmart but included great extras like nail trim and grind, a cute bandana and a photoshoot! Very happy with Brittany as our groomer and with the convenient new location. We will be back and have told all of our friends! Thank you!
