It is actually split into three segments the top half has your playground, bbq area,a gazebo area and nature trails that lead all the way to Oneonta high School the second segment is more of a dog park section and the last is where the public pool(free to all that live in town and summer passes available for outside town resident s) tennis court volleyball court and basketball court are located.

I visited this park, not finding the playground as my family intended. As I am not a local, being on a vacation from NYC, I didn’t explore enough to find the playground. We did come across the pool area but were not prepared for that kind of outing. Instead, my children showed interest in exploring the nearby creek. It was a totally different experience for us than we are used to. We’re always surrounded by the busy city life, so taking in its beauty, watching the tadpoles, and tranquility was just enough to make the trip here worthwhile.

Love this park! There are terrific paths throughout the park. A large playground for kids is surrounded by fields perfect for flying a kite. A covered pavilion with picnic tables and public bathrooms is close to the playground. Be sure to check out the Little Free Library while you’re there.
