First of all Onekama is a very beautiful lake town rich in history and timeless beauty!! This park is located right in town on Portage Lake. It has a beach and swimming area, picnic tables with grills, (just bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid) nice playground for the kids, two boat ramps and lots of benches to just sit and reflect, read a book, watch the sunset, or whatever tickles your fancy! Portage Lake is very beautiful and has access to Lake Michigan! There are a lot of species of Lake fish, Birds and other waterfowl.

Lots of area for relaxing in the shade, picnic tables, bathrooms, small beach area. Great stop while passing through.

It’s a great place and atmosphere with an excellent boat launch, playground and small sandy beach. Nice for locals and visitors. The maintenance on the restrooms is not cool, with the bathhouse being locked, they have an overflowing porta potti that was disgusting. It’s a great park glad to have in our area.

Beautiful little town park on Portage Bay which leads out to Lake Michigan. Nice picnic tables, and grills for cookong. Small childrens play area, port a john, and a nice wooden gazebo like covered area!!! Plenty of green space to play and bring your pet!
