Discover Olympia Dog Park, a highly-rated off-leash dog park located conveniently near a roundabout on Yelm Highway in Olympia, Washington. This spacious park features two distinct areas: one for small dogs and another for larger breeds, making it perfect for safe, social playtime. Locals appreciate its huge field where dogs can run freely and mingle with other pups, providing your pet with plenty of exercise and fun.
The park is fully fenced, offering benches and a few plastic chairs so owners can relax while watching their dogs enjoy themselves. Waste bags are provided at the entrance, and numerous trash bins make it easy to keep the area clean. While there are no water fountains or permanent water sources, visitors frequently provide water bowls for all dogs. Olympia Dog Park is known for its friendly community, making it a favorite destination for pet owners seeking a welcoming and dog-friendly environment in Olympia.
Its great! My dog loved the HUGE field, and theres always other dogs there to play with. It is easy to miss. Its connected to a roundabout so go slow and look carefully
People are friendly and for most part the dogs are well behaved. Doggie bags are provided and there are plenty of garbage cans. Large and small doggie areas. Benches and plastic chairs.
Nice park for dogs to run. Two areas (Small dogs and not-so-small dogs). Both have benches and chairs plus water bowls. Dog waste bags are at the entrance for the considerate/responsible owners. Sadly, there is no facility for the owners to relieve themselves.
There is no water plumbing so my thanks to those who provide doggie drinking water.
BEWARE OF PEOPLE STEALING. have been going to this park for a few years and overall it’s a great park. But beware the lady with the golden retriever named Summer stole all the toys I brought for my dog to play with this evening. The owner drives a gray or silver I believe Nissan leaf. I was sitting on the small dog side and the owner brings her 70 pound golden retriever into the small dog side. I have been throwing the toys for my dog and went to sit down and talk to the other dog owners. About five minutes after Summer’s owner left I couldn’t find any of the toys. I asked other people in the park if they had seen the toys. Multiple people told me Summers owner had took the toys. I know the toys can easily be replaced. It’s just super frustrating that someone would take your stuff.
The park is a good place but I would be careful with one lady. She asked me to walk my dog away from the gate before she came into the off leach area. I took my dog and walked away. At this point her brindle colored pit mix attacked my dog. It kept attacking my dog even with five people helping me. I got my dog in my car and she basically blamed my dog and drove off. I would not allow her dangerous dog around any other dog. She basically admitted that she had her dog fixed because of his aggressive behavior in the past at the same time saying that he never attacked anyone before. But she asked me to keep my dog away from her dog in the off leach area and blamed me for allowing her dog to attack my dog.
