Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Evergreen Park is a beloved community space located in Olympia, WA, offering a welcoming, pet-friendly environment for dogs and their owners. The park features a large, fully fenced off-leash area surrounded by lush trees, providing plenty of shade and natural nooks for playful exploration. Visitors appreciate the unique circular gravel path within the dog park itself, plus easy access to scenic paved trails for additional dog-friendly hiking.
This well-maintained dog park boasts ample street and overflow parking (with option to park at the nearby church), and a peaceful, shaded vibe that’s perfect for Olympia dog lovers. While small dogs have been seen to enjoy the space, there is no separate area for different dog sizes, making it ideal for socialized, well-behaved pets. Dog owners will find a few seating areas, such as logs and picnic tables, and families can take advantage of a small playground with swings just outside the dog area.
This is great park up until today when I got bit twice by another dog. Now I know that dog was biting my puppy. Currently sitting at urgent care .
Nice little offleash area for dogs. Love the circular floor plan: a gravel path (in the dog park) within the larger paved trail (outer park)! Walk or roll to the main gate from the overflow (church or government?) parking lot behind the park, or park on the street. Park includes a few swings for the kiddos, a (lone?) picnic table and place for horseshoes. This place looks pretty new… No dogs or people when we were here on a Sunday morning, but we’ll be back.
Super cool Park. It tells you to park at the Mormon church when I pulled up here so I thought I was in the wrong area but then eventually it led to the right spot and it is such a gorgeous Park. Lots of cool trails, little nooks
I don’t have a dog but it seems like a popular dog park. I love the swings behind the dog park. No one is ever using them and you can swing while watching all the puppies playing. It’s cute. Seems well maintained. Lots of parking on the street right next to it and overflow parking at the church next door.
This was our 1st time here. I love this little park. You start with a nice trail to walk through. Plus, they have a large fenced area for your dogs to run and play freely. It has lots of trees and nooks and cranies for your fur-babies to explore. There are a variety of fallen logs/ trees sit on. It is nice a shady.
Our 3 small dogs loved it. Definitely will be back for mor adventures!
