The trails could use better marking however it is clear where you are going. It is off a dirt road and small parking lot. It’s nice however those mesquites are bred differently out there! 🥴😂

IMPORTANT: I’m reviewing this for mountain bike purposes. This came up as a good option for riding after rain, so I rolled the dice and tried something new.

Black diamond trails like 100 Acre Wood were definitely dry, but most of the trail system seemed built for hiking and NOT designated for mountain biking. Very rocky and rooty with zero flow. Overall a good challenge, but if you’re looking for bike trails to get miles stick with a system closer to Bangor.

Perch Pond was beautiful though, and Bo’s Run was promising. Ultimately it seems to be a trail system in its infancy…but with some hard work it could potentially become a bike destination. Until then, stick with The Bog or Bangor Hill (Trailforks app).

I usually love hiking, but today was the first time I’d honestly say I’ll never go back to these particular trails for a long time.

I’d rather go get lost in fog on top of 5700 foot Mt. Adams again. What an underwhelming set of trails! There are technically two trailhead parking areas on this road, but I’d only consider one of them (the northern one) even remotely decent. I ended up walking the road back because of the cluster f of mis and improperly unmarked trails.

The bugs were horrendous too, but that’s to be expected living in Maine so that I can forgive.

My fav local hike. Super nice trails, killer views and not well traveled.

It’s unfortunate the trails were not kept up better, either with paint markers, landmarks, etc., as well as names of the trails, other than just “Trail” in some areas.
