NOT A DOG PARK….. SAYS NO DOGS ALLOWED
An incredible 1.25~ mile loop encompassing marsh, meadow, prairie, pond and mixed woodlands. An eBird hotspot and a migratory mecca for waterfowl and song birds. This crucial nesting area is a fantastic spot to get outdoors and view birds! Great trails and location. I’ve kayaked the pond and no fish, lots of vegetative material and shallow water.
August 6 2023 Came back today to walk after a long time away…a very sad place now I don’t see my 4 footed friends. Very desolate and underused . Truthfully as a woman don’t feel safe anymore where there is very little foot traffic in this day and age..a waste of a good park now dogs are not allowed.Oct 2022 Beware ! they allow duck hunting on lake in park but no dogs!!! I used to go there to see dogs. They put up a sign no dogs allowed, even though 90% of people who went there brought dogs.I was shocked they allow duck hunting on the lake, 20 feet from path in camo shot guns off.Oconomowoc is not dog friendly.
Absolutely wonderful park but full of dog waste. Such a shame that dogs are no longer allowed there due to selfish dog owners who refuse to act decently and clean up their mess. We used to go to the park every week with our dogs who we kept on a leash and cleaned up after. When we visited and saw the no dogs allowed sign (which was fully justified) we were ticked off but understood. We haven’t been back since unfortunately.
Great new park, nice scenic views
