This is a great walking trail. Flat with a number of entrances. It is a carry in/carry out park/trail with no trash or other facilities available. On a sunny day, it’s NOT as shady as you might think, so bring the water and sunscreen. It’s easy to do with dogs, but bring your own bags for clean up dooty, and watch out for the prickly pear cacti as they are plentiful especially as you get toward the bay area half way through the hike.Make sure you access Google maps on your smartphone during the hike as there are a couple of cutoffs and different turns you can make. They pretty much lead back to the same place, and you really can’t go very far wrong. The trails are easy, so you may very well see bikes or horses along with you.The area by the bay is nice, take a water break there.
Bring 5$ cash if Delaware plates. 10$ cash if any other state. Money envolopes near sign. That being said, beautiful trail if you know where to go. In the beginning go left onto prickly pear trail. It will eventually loop you back to the parking lot. Along this trail are some very nice spots for bay views.
