Ocean Grove Beaches is a clean, family-friendly beach with warm water and a welcoming community atmosphere. It features clearly defined swim areas with lifeguards, a gently sloping bottom ideal for swimming, free street parking, and a charming beachside town to explore. Note that there are no changing rooms available, and the beach opens later on Sundays due to the town’s Christian roots.

Great Jersey beach. Very family friendly. Not opened until noon on Sunday because Ocean Grove is a Christian town. But even if you are not a Jesus freak, it’s still fun!

We had a great time as a family. We were able to park on the street for free and the walk to the beach was along The beach is clean and the water was beautiful. There are a lot of lifeguards and the swim areas are clearly defined. There were a lot of children playing in the surf. I especially liked how the bottom slopes away sharply so you don’t have to walk out so far to actually swim without touching the bottom.

Loved it my son really enjoyed it, first time to the beach in NJ, the water was nice, people minding their business and respectful, pleasant and friendly… parking was not that bad, and it’s free !

Really, really nice beaches. Visited after labor day so very quiet but that was what we wanted! Clean and people are very friendly. Ocean Grove is a neat beachside community and recommend you walk around and see the Summer Tent Cottages. Boardwalk is nice and water was very warm for September.

This beach is clean and tidy. The air does sink like dead fish during high tide. Also in the last couple of years the for rid of the changing rooms and have signs in the bathrooms about not changing (understandably so that people can use the bathroom) but they occasionally have a woman begin telling our banging on stalls where she suspects people are changing. We asked a life guard where we could change and he said we could ask at the end of the pier for a key to the changing room, but when we requested that changing room, she said that there were no changing rooms. Where are we supposed to change? At home. We live 3 hours from the beach. We would also like to go out to dinner before we head home.
How hard would it be to put up temporary changing rooms during the summer? This is a huge inconvenience. Please please consider some sort of changing room for future guests.
