This is an excellent place to take a puppy with tons of energy to wear him out!! As long as everyone cleans up after themselves it stays clean. Places to sit. Poop bags provided. Water fountains for your pet.

Its a clean place with separation for large and small dogs. I noted that the gate into the small dog area doesn’t latch fully so be careful, but there is another gate outaide that so they can’t escape unless they’re both open. The dog water stations seem to be closed in the fall so bring your own water.

First time visiting the Oakland Dog Park, and our two 9 month old Goldens loved it. It was their first time in any dog park. Well worth the stop to let them run off leash while on vacation at Deep Creek Maryland. There are two fenced-in areas, one for small dogs and one for larger dogs. Double gates at the opening for safety and water fountains for the dogs. Agility type course set up for play. Looks like some people need to learn to pick up after their pets, especially since they have poop bags and covered cans for the waste.

Cute, convenient, and thoughtfully curated.

What a great spot that is near beautiful walkways and an enjoyable town.

Of all the times we’ve been out here had just came across this dog park. Can’t wait to return with our pups 🐶
