Located on Willey Point Rd in the heart of Oakland, Maine, Oakland Waterfront Park offers scenic views of Snow Pond and easy access to the water, making it a popular spot for families and nature lovers. The park features a beach area, grassy lawns, a boat launch, and a rope swimming area. With recent upgrades like new picnic tables, benches, trash cans, a pavilion, playground equipment, and free summer concerts, it has become a favorite local gathering place.
While the park provides ample opportunities for outdoor play, picnicking, and community events, please note there are mixed reports regarding dog access. Some signage and reviews specifically state that dogs are not allowed on the beach. Although many park visitors enjoy bringing their families and pets here, we recommend confirming current park rules for dog owners before your visit. There are trash bins and plenty of seating, and concerts with food trucks make this a lively spot in the summer months.
Looked super nice and well kept. I was unable to look around as we were in a hurry and just stopped to see if it was worth coming back. I’ll be back.

My husband, son, and I always have a great time here. We love to skip rocks, run around on the grass, play Frisbee, or make new friends!
Coming here for years, they have added benches and trash cans.
How ever I do think it needs to be renamed to dog poop park. Basics area to get into the water if you trust it.
Every dark spot in the picture is a pile of poop.
This is a nice little beach with quick easy access from the parking lot. Great for if you have kids. No dogs allowed. Saw 3 loons! The water was slightly colder than the other beach in town, pleasant point (but this beach you literally have to hike to).
