San Antonio Park offers a sprawling, vibrant community space in the heart of Oakland, California. While this park is not a dedicated dog park, dogs are welcome on-leash around the perimeter, making it a good option for those seeking pet-friendly trails in the city. Spanning two city blocks, the park is known for its well-maintained grounds, active atmosphere, and a wide range of amenities for families, fitness enthusiasts, and locals with pets.
Visitors enjoy accessible entrances and parking, a fun playground for kids, basketball courts, barbecue grills, picnic tables, and public restrooms. Many locals highlight the positive community vibe, scenic strolls, and clean environment. While dogs should remain on leash and respect posted rules, San Antonio Park is a great place to enjoy an urban walk with your pet while taking in all that this Oakland neighborhood gem has to offer.
Grew up here very nice to play sports
I don’t want to go there for the Trybe thing. The lunch here is trash.
Always good
Sometimes a lady that lives on the soccer field side,
comes up to some people and is rude. I have seen it happen twice. She is well meaning. She wants the park clean. So clean up after yourself.
This park is so beautiful! Sprawls 2 blocks on each side, no dogs allowed inside but no matter! My dog likes to walk around the edge and everyone is respectful of the rule. Super clean!! Lots of people playing soccer, basketball and running boxing camps every day. Groups of geese roaming around, lots of people on easy strolls. It’s an absolute neighborhood gem and I am so happy to live so close to it!
The people are friendly for the most part and everyone’s pretty active with their workout routines. I can see myself coming here more often.
