Great place to go running or have a picnic. The jogging/walking path is about 3.5 miles and goes all the way around the lake. Beautiful views, especially at sunset.

This is a popular park near the entrance to lake Merritt. It was recently rebuilt by local neighbors after a massive fundraising effort a few years ago, so the party structures are relatively new and clean.

It’s in between the entrance to lake Merritt and the Saturday farmers market at Lakeshore ave. So it’s a good place to take the kids after going to the market or checking out lake Merritt.

There’s a park bathroom (kind of gnarly, It’s heavily used in an area where there’s probably a decent amount of homeless at night.) nearby and water fountains and the charming small library.
