Beautiful trail with an awesome view of Bass Lake at the top!
A hidden gem. We decided to do an impromptu hike after breakfast at Bass Lake. This trail was short but had a decent elevation change so it felt like a little bit of exercise. Beautiful views!
A very interesting place which is a bit of a climb where Mono tribe women would grind acorn nuts to flour in view of Bass Lake. There were bowl shapes worn in the granite from their work. A warm feeling about the place. No graffiti and not an easy climb due to restoration needs from storms and fires a couple of years ago. Signage tells the story. This is for the curious, good parking, but a climb for seniors.

Doesn’t have marked trails, it looks like need maintenance. The visitors information doesn’t said anything but you’ll feel the adventure begins when see the animals running in their habitat. we saw one coyote and two deer. Prepare a camera and be safe.
