Nestled in an upscale Oakdale neighborhood, Hilltop Walking Path Park offers a scenic and peaceful spot for dog owners seeking a relaxing outdoor experience. This pet-friendly park features a 2.2-mile zig-zag trail that meanders through gentle hills, making it a favorite for dog walking, family outings, and casual hikes. Whether you’re looking for dog-friendly hiking in Oakdale or just a tranquil spot away from the crowds, this park is a great choice.
The path includes a mix of gravel and paved stretches, is mostly flat and wide enough for multiple walkers, and provides easy access for strollers and children. Along the trail, you’ll find benches to rest, several garbage cans for convenience, and lovely views at the end of the walk. While the park is open and safe with a relaxed vibe, keep in mind that there is very little shade along the trail—perfect for sunny day adventures, but bringing water for yourself and your pets is a must!
Upscale neighborhood with a trail that is used for local residents to walk themselves or their dogs.
Several garbage cans along the way and several benches to sit, rest and enjoy the view. To get the most exercise you have to climb back up to the park where it’s uphill. There are some flowers along the way but nothing extraordinary in the views. As off today it’s still mostly green.

Not a bad little trail but it has absolutely no shade. Path is paved and gravel the whole way.

Very nice walking path and small park located in a higher-end community. Very safe, very calm relaxed feeling up there. Most main area is on top of a large PA hill with a nice view. Trail itself winds slightly up or down. Haven’t gotten super far down but parts I have walked have been a relatively gentle winding grade up or down. I would estimate I have gotten about a mile out from the parking lot, turned around and headed back. Just a nice chill vibe overall. If you are looking to get away from the more populated outdoor recreational areas I would recommend.

This walking path is about 2.2 miles down from the parking lot and back up. It took a us about 55 minutes round trip. It’s a zig zag trail mostly gravel with a stretch of blacktop in the middle. It’s a good light work out for your legs on the way back up. The walking path is mostly flat without ruts or boulders. It’s wide enough for multiple people to walk side by side. There is a great view once you reach the end of the trail. You can take strollers and young children down the trail with ease and not having to worry about them running off or getting lost. It’s truly a good outing for the entire family. I also loved that there was a Eagle Scout project there from Troop 262 done by Tony.
