Mayslake Dog Park is a favorite destination for dog owners in Oak Brook, Illinois, offering a spacious, fenced-in environment where your pups can run, socialize, and explore off-leash. The park features gravel walking paths that loop around grassy, tree-filled spaces, making it easy for owners to keep an eye on their pets while enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings. Convenient public restrooms, picnic tables, and free parking make it an accessible outing for the whole family.
This dog park stands out for its separate areas dedicated to small dogs (up to 25 lbs) and larger breeds, ensuring safe play for all. Essentials like provided poop bags, benches, and occasional water access (via a water pump near the parking lot) add to the park’s amenities. While the parking lot is limited, regular turnover helps on busy weekends. The park is well-maintained and monitored; visitors must obtain a pass from the county for entry. Connect your visit with pet-friendly trails and kid-friendly hikes in the adjacent forest preserve, making it a versatile spot for both pets and people.
This park has a gravel loop to walk, and grass/trees in the middle. It’s very open so you can see your dog at all times.
The dogs enjoyed all the running and sniffing room. Wish the water pump was located inside the dog area.
Love it … we come here at least once a day unless it’s closed some … only thing I would change if the water management is slightly better and the walking track at the entrance is slightly higher to avoid the water
This place has improved so much since they opened several years ago! A good fenced in spot for small dogs up to 25lbs. And the area for large dogs is fantastic! Poop bags are supplied right before you enter the gate. They had a water pump for the dogs too by parking lot, not sure if it’s still available. Not a lot of parking spots & they fill quickly on weekends but cars are always coming & going just be patient.
We take our dog to the dog park regularly. You need a pass from the county. They come around occasionally to check for passes. The park is well maintained, they provide bags. A large & separated small dog area. Gravel walk around path, picnic tables (I don’t recommend bringing food!!), benches. There is a water pump outside the area. We bring water & bowl and share. There is a Forest outside the dog park. Free parking. The lot is small, however people come & go regularly so be patient and someone will leave.
