lovely park with a nice, mature forest and gorgeous vistas over ponds and the North River. My favorite part is the small river that flows through the park, including a couple of historic damns and mill sites. Peaceful pocket and hidden gem.
Great pathways through the woods, easy walking not strenuous. People were fishing on the little ponds and it was a good area to bird watch and see others walking their dogs (not the birds, people of course). There’s a boathouse on the North River that has a cool lookout point right over the river.
Really beautiful area with lots of easy, wooded trails, boardwalks, and views. Home to a lot of wildlife, excellent birdwatching, and amazing plants. Lots of shade on hot days. It can get muddy, so keep an eye on the weather. There’s plenty of parking, and the trails are wide so it doesn’t feel crowded. We have an older dog and he was able to do a lot of the trails with no problem as there aren’t many hills or tough parts of the trail.
Pretty little Trustees property that is nice for an easy walk just outside quaint Norwell center. Flat and well maintained. Some pretty saltwater river views and a wetlands boardwalk. Check out Cheever Tavern just up the street for a nice post-walk meal.
