Reviews
I don’t usually leave reviews but had to take the time to commend the Dogtopia team! Our pup and family LOVES the Dogtopia facility and staff. The team couldn’t be kinder, more compassionate, and so caring for all the pups! You can tell they truly care about their work and the dogs they work with. No better place to leave a member of the family for the day ❤️
Our whole family loves Dogtopia Norwell! The staff and coaches are amazing and really love my baby. She comes home happy, socialized and looks forward to “school” the next day.
I’m really disappointed with Dogtopia Norwell.
My dog, Avalanche, had previously boarded there for a week without any issues, so I thought I’d try them again. I live in Hingham, just five minutes away, and wanted to support a local business by switching from Petsmart boarding.
In December 2024, I booked a boarding reservation for Avalanche, but the day before my flight, they called and said they needed a new evaluation. I panicked because I was flying to Europe the next day. I took Avalanche in the morning of my flight, and they turned her away, saying she didn’t do well with another dog.
With only hours before my flight, I was left stranded. Thankfully, I was able to take Avalanche to Petsmart, where she had boarded before in a suite, and I paid the same price. Petsmart came through for me, and I made it to the airport just in time.
It’s possible Avalanche was stressed because she knew I was flying, but months later when I asked for a re-evaluation, they pretty much turned me down without offering any training. Avalanche is 9 years old—what kind of training would she need at this point?
At Petsmart, they told me she was very sweet and did well, so I guess it was my mistake for trying to change. Now, I’ll be looking into other local facilities like A Fox and Hounds, though I’ll always have Petsmart suite boarding as a backup.
I’m giving Dogtopia Norwell 1 star. I will never use their services again and will make sure to warn my friends not to take their dogs there.
P.S. If you’re flying, be cautious with Dogtopia—you could end up stranded at the last minute.
Dogtopia and its staff has provided exceptional care for my pup Sandy since they opened almost three years ago. I have nothing but outstanding things to say about the services and resources they provide us on a daily basis. I would absolutely recommend signing up if you have a dog who’s in need of daycare!
I’ve been bringing my dog Henry to Dogtopia since the summer of 2023, and never looked back. Having an indoor facility gives me so much peace of mind. No matter the weather, Henry gets to run around and play with his friends. The staff are phenomenal. They treat Henry like family, and are always so accommodating to my pet-parent needs. They often go above and beyond whenever Henry is in their care. I also love that they have special events where they dress up the dogs, like prom or pictures with Santa. It feels like I’m taking an actual child to preschool or something, it’s so cute. Henry is very happy there, and is nice and tired when I bring him home, often going right to sleep after dinner. Whenever he spends the night, the staff always ask if he’s on any meds or if he needs any special attention. All around, just a wonderful place, and I highly recommend to anyone in search of a doggy daycare.
