I appreciate that it’s a free place to swim with trails and playgrounds! It’s beautiful on any day. Dogs aren’t allowed on the beach area but are allowed there on a leash, which is helpful when you’re out with your pup. There are some picnic tables and spots to fish! It’s close to food. overall, it is a great stop to cool off and stretch your legs.
Also known as Norway Lake! Great Fishing, nice Boat Ramp. Milfoil Inspection done there. Historic Steamboat Wrecks and Gas Driven Lombard Log Hauler and Crawler Trailer sunk in the mid 1920s on the Bottom of the Lake. Swimming Beach, Outhouse . Located near the Lake Store. You can get food and bait there, beverages too. Picnic Tables for Public use and walking paths. Lots of tall Pines and picturesque Birches and Maples. Closed during the Winter Months. Lots of Signs to read. C.B. Cummings Company ( Dowel and Wood Turning) had a Log Yard on the Shore and ran a Carnival on the Island. Old Steamboat Wrecks in that area by the Island( Bass too!) Fishing Tournaments Summer and Winter. Great Ice Fishing. Parking for Boat Trailers on the Boat Ramp side. Bald Eagles fish in the Lake( bring binoculars and a camera!) Photos cannot do it’s beauty Justice! Great calm place to Kayak or Canoe.
Went to a birthday party here it was very nice had a couple different playgrounds a beach and a gazebo with picnic tables place was beautiful and clean
