Located in the heart of Norton, Ohio, Silvercreek Cross Country Trails is a top destination for dog owners seeking pet-friendly hiking trails and wide open fields. This park is celebrated for its well-kept nature paths, expansive green spaces, and a newly enhanced disc golf course that appeals to both families and outdoor enthusiasts. The park’s dedication to cleanliness and regular upkeep makes it a pleasant and safe choice for visitors and their pets.
Silvercreek is especially popular for its dog-friendly hiking, where you can enjoy the serene trails with your pup, let them roam in the open fields, and take in the scenic beauty the area offers. Accessibility is another strong suit, with wheelchair-accessible entrances, parking, and restrooms available. The park is also great for kids, making it ideal for family outings. However, be aware that ticks can be present during certain seasons, so checking your pet after exploring is recommended.
Played the new disc golf course. Front nine very nice, but back nine needs work. VERY long holes are fun, but if you’re going to have longer fairways they need to be MUCH wider. If they double or triple the width I’d change to 5 stars. I lost 3 discs in the brush, and every one of the two dozen or so golfers I met on the course lost at least one. That’s a deal breaker for the casual enthusiast.
We love the disc golf course at this location. Beware of the tics, they are horrible this year already. My husband and son got back to the car with both having several crawling on them.
Great place to walk and enjoy nature! It’s very clean and well kept. Thank you Summit County Metroparks!😊
Great Hiking trails! Our puppy and daughter both have never ending energy, the trail walking slows them down a bit. Highly recommend!
Great area for walking with my dog and playing in the big fields! One of his favorite spots
