Dearborn Park in Northridge, California, is a well-loved local spot ideal for dog owners and families alike. Known for its clean, safe environment and community feel, this Northridge dog park features spacious green spaces, pet-friendly walking paths, and ample shade, making it perfect for dog walks and casual strolls. With accessible parking and wheelchair-friendly amenities, it’s easy for everyone to enjoy the park’s wide range of offerings.
The park is also equipped with basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic tables, a playground with shaded play structures, and public restrooms. Dearborn Park is not an off-leash dog park, but dogs are welcome on-leash, making it a favorite destination for pet-friendly trails and family outings. Plenty of seating and water fountains add convenience, and the park’s popularity for events means it’s bustling during weekends but quieter on weekdays.
Spacious and great for events. Very busy almost every weekend so I would plan events for weekdays whenever possible. Has basketball courts and is a safe location. Lots of parking and great for exercising or just relaxing with the family. Amazing for dog walks as well!
Good, relatively small community park. It has tennis courts that are first come, first serve but also have time limits. A good amount of tables and a nice playground. Also a convenient water fountain and water bottle fill-up!
I came to this park over the weekend for my friend baby shower that they were having here. Finding parking was easy since there are a lot of street parking. I was trying to avoid parking near cars but for some reason they wanted to park near me. The baby shower was set up near the kids playground area so it was a good spot. The weather was nice and there were other parties at the park as well. The kids play area is a decent size and they even have a mist area. We notice that they have some monitor workers walking around the park, I guess to make sure everyone follows the rules. I never seen that before at a park but it’s a good thing to have.
The play structures are large and shaded and decent quality. I’m giving this a 5/5 despite the sand and nasty bathrooms. They also have a basketball court, 2 full tennis courts, and lots of green space and picnic benches.
the park has a decently long walking path with picnic tables and exercise equipment along it, and a fairly large gated playground. the trees are cool and i appreciated the street lights as i journaled at night.
