🐾 How to Handle Aggressive Dogs at the Dog Park – Real Advice from Dog Owners
Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Northford Dog Park is a fenced-in grassy area located behind a farmhouse and barn, offering plenty of room for dogs to run and multiple seating areas. While parking is limited and not clearly designated, the park is clean and well-maintained with waste bags available, though the dispenser is sometimes empty. There is no water fountain available, so visitors should bring their own. The park features a combined area for dogs of all sizes and has a peaceful, rural setting.
Beautiful place to take your dog and big to get a good walk on
It’s the smallest dog park I ever been to but its clean and is completely fenced in and is ok for dogs to run, it’s just dead when I come.. nobody ever comes..
I love that the park has grass, my dog likes it.
The downside is that is hard to find. You need to take the road with the sign AUGUR PARK. The dog part is hard to see coming from a road where people drive 60mph. Is behind a house from what it looks like a private road and next to a barn with heavy machinery. No visible designated parking, everyone parked in front of the barn.
There is no water in the park so bring your own. And the garbage container is outside the park at the entrance so when you have to pickup after your dog you need to outside the gate and come back.
People are friendly in this area
My dog loves this park. There’s plenty of room to run around and the park features a fenced in grass surface, with multiple seating areas, and waste pickup bags. You do need to bring your own water though, and there is no division for small and large dogs. If your dog’s on the “barky side” like mine, the lack of division can be intimidating to other dogs at first.
Overall, I highly recommend the park and hope the town continues to make it a great place for pets!
This was an odd park. It’s located behind a farm house and around a barn. Very little parking.
Only one space for all dogs. There was a bag dispenser, but it was empty. I did not see any trash nor any water.
There is a second exit to the fenced park space that appears to lead out into the farm fields.
