Aukerman Park is a popular, pet-friendly destination in North Royalton, Ohio, designed with both dogs and their owners in mind. Easily accessible with wheelchair accommodations and paved paths, this smaller dog park features a unique blend of open, unmowed fields and maintained grassy areas—making it a beautiful spot for an evening walk or a quick outing with your pet. Dog owners will appreciate facilities such as picnic tables, a public restroom, and a pavilion for shade or shelter.
The park offers a dedicated dog playground and agility equipment, making it an excellent destination for dog-friendly activities and basic training. Although dogs are required to remain on leash at all times and there is no separate fenced section, the park is known for its welcoming, dog-loving community and scenic walking trails. With its combination of amenities and natural beauty, Aukerman Park is quickly becoming a favorite among locals looking for dog-friendly hiking and outdoor gatherings in North Royalton.
Nice park particularly designed for Dogs! Fair warning though, it can get quite muddy within the park itself, so it’s recommended you stay on the normal paved path unless you have boots and willing to clean your pooch afterwards!
Its a nice but small dog park. You mist keep them on a leash at all yimes and its only partially mowed. They also have a dog playground if you are interested.
This is a really nice smaller park. The open unmowed field is beautiful and a nice change of pace from the woods of most Metroparks. For a quick evening walk, this has quickly become one of my favorites.
Partner and I went on a walk with our dog and stopped at this park, let her play for a bit at the play area then we stopped under the pavilion to take a breather and eat our lunch, also to give our dog water. An older woman started raising her voice at us that was sitting under the pavilion telling us that we couldn’t have her under there and that we needed to leave. I don’t think she understood that it’s a DOG PARK. So beware if you get hassled by an older woman with a blue purse. 🙄
Nice place to take your dog for some agility training. A pavilion and restrooms on site
They say that dogs must be leashed at all times, but I find that hard to believe if you are running your dog through the agility course. Mowed grass area around the park for a short walk.
